It is a bit of emotional moment to see Visual Basic go. BASIC in some form (GW-BASIC, QBasic, VB6 and then VB.net) has been part of programming for the rest of us! Easy to learn and fit for purpose. But everything must come to an end, sometime! And the time has come.
